As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to the development of our Hypercharger products by designing innovative, reliable, and cost-effective mechanical solutions. You will drive the development of advanced mechanical concepts from ideation to series production, ensuring compliance with performance, quality, manufacturability, reliability, and cost requirements while fostering technical excellence and innovation.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for Hypercharger products, ensuring compliance with performance, strength, quality, manufacturability, reliability, and cost requirements
Develop state-of-the-art mechanical concepts and support their implementation throughout the entire product development process up to SOP (Start of Production)
Create and maintain 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and related technical documentation
Perform mechanical strength calculations and support simulation activities to validate design solutions
Drive a cost-effective design and engineering mindset at concept, material, and component level
Select suitable materials based on functional, environmental, manufacturing, and cost requirementsIntroduce, evaluate, and qualify innovative manufacturing technologies and processes as alternatives to established methods
Define test and validation criteria for critical components and assemblies and drive their qualification and release
Conduct technology and market scouting activities, including benchmarking, trend analysis, and evaluation of new materials and manufacturing processes
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including electronics, software, industrialization, testing, and manufacturing to ensure successful product development
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical problem-solving activities
Support products throughout the entire development lifecycle,
from concept development and prototyping to series production
Contribute to continuous product and process improvements, engineering best practices, and innovation initiatives
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification
Several years of experience in mechanical product development, preferably in electromechanical products
Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, strength calculations, material selection, and manufacturing processes
Experience with CAD software; proficiency in SolidWorks is considered an advantage
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Structured, proactive, and results-oriented working style
Strong commitment to technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams
Fluent in English; German and/or Italian are a plus

Total compensation starting from € 74,000 gross per year, including a 30% variable premio based on goal achievement
