About Us.
NHINZE Children’s Disability Training and Advocacy Network (NHINZE-CDTAN) is a registered non-profit, community-based organization [processing NGO registration and permit] established in Uganda to promote the rights, participation, independence, and well-being of children with disabilities and their families. The establishment of NHINZE-CDTAN was largely informed by the Akwenda Intervention Programme, a community-based programme that was piloted in Iganga and Mayuge districts in Uganda. This participatory approach recognizes caregivers as important partners in rehabilitation and seeks to build their confidence and practical skills.

Its goal-directed training approach encourages children to actively participate in achieving meaningful functional goals, while the organization also works to improve access to assistive dev
