About the Role
We are looking for a Junior General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover).This is a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to gain hands-on experience in general accounting within a structured and collaborative environment.



You will support the accurate management of general ledger activities, ensuring data accuracy, reconciliations, and timely support during monthly and yearly closings. The role offers exposure to core accounting processes and close collaboration with Finance colleagues and other business functions. Key responsibilities include: - Performing and reviewing intercompany reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in coordination with internal counterparts - Monitoring and closing bank clearing and suspense accounts, in line with internal procedures - Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, including cut-off processes - Recording personnel cost entries (salaries, social security contributions, severance accruals and related charges) and ensuring consistency with HR reports and financial statements - Posting journal entries and accounting adjustments, including cash movements -
