Wood is recruiting for a Stress & Support Engineer - Graduate to join its Projects business line focusing on engineering, procurement and construction of complex plants in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industries.
The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.
You will report to the Stress Analysis Lead and support the execution of piping stress analysis activities for assigned projects.
Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will contribute to the evaluation of piping system flexibility, compliance with applicable codes and standards, and the development of stress analysis deliverables.
This role offers the opportunity to develop technical expertise in piping stress engineering while working under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Support the execution of piping stress analysis activities for process and utility piping systems
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of stress analysis models using industry-standard software
Perform basic flexibility, sustained, thermal, displacement and occasional load analyses under supervision
Review piping layouts, P&IDs;, line lists and supporting engineering documentation as input for stress analysis activities
Assist in the development of stress analysis reports and related engineering deliverables
Support the evaluation and selection of pipe supports, spring supports and restraint systems
Develop familiarity with piping components, including pipes, fittings, flanges, valves,
gaskets, bolting and specialty items
Coordinate with Piping Design, Mechanical, Civil & Structural and Process Engineering disciplines to ensure proper implementation of stress analysis requirements
Participate in model reviews and contribute to the identification and resolution of piping stress-related issues
Ensure assigned activities are performed in accordance with project specifications, applicable codes and company procedures
Assist in the verification of nozzle loads on static and rotating equipment
Support the preparation of engineering calculations and documentation for internal and client reviews
Perform stress analysis activities using dedicated software tools, including CAESAR II or equivalent systems
Contribute to the timely delivery of project activities while maintaining quality standards

Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Fluent Italian and good English
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong willingness to learn and develop technical competencies in piping stress analysis
Good communication and teamwork skills
Availability to be relocated abroad

Gross Annual Salary: the initial gross annual salary will be € 32,******, paid in 14 instalments
The compensation package will include applicable CCNL elements and company benefits
