Our partner is looking for a Clinical Payments Specialist based in Italy. /b /p pThe Clinical Payments Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end management of global investigator payments across assigned clinical studies. You will oversee payment setup, deployment, reconciliation, forecasting, reporting, and study closeout while ensuring alignment with contractual requirements. The role connects investigative sites, clinical research teams, finance functions, project teams, and external sponsors. You’ll analyze payment data, identify discrepancies and trends, and help improve financial and revenue-cycle processes. The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive financial information across complex international studies. You will also contribute to audits, inspections, stakeholder meetings, and ongoing process improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a diligent, customer-focused professional who wants to contribute to clinical research and ultimately help improve patient outcomes. /p h3Accountabilities /h3 ul liManage investigator payments end-to-end for assigned global clinical studies, including payment setup, deployment, ongoing management, and study closeout. /li liCollect required information from relevant teams, systems, and tools in a timely and proactive manner to support accurate payment processing. /li liReview global contract terms, study budgets, and payment schedules to ensure investigative site payments comply with Clinical Trial Agreements. /li liResearch and resolve payment discrepancies identified across multiple sources, including underpayments and overpayments. /li liPerform payment reconciliations at required intervals and maintain accurate financial records. /li liAnalyze budgeted versus actual investigator payment spend and communicate findings to project teams and relevant stakeholders. /li liDevelop budget forecasts related to investigator payments and provide financial insights to project teams. /li liPrepare and distribute consolidated monthly payment reports showing the status of paid and unpaid investigative sites. /li liServe as the primary point of contact for investigator payment-related questions on assigned studies. /li liAct as a liaison between investigative sites, clinical research teams, finance functions,



project teams, and other functional leaders. /li liParticipate in client meetings, project team meetings, and cross-functional discussions related to study payments. /li liPrepare for, participate in, and follow up on audits and regulatory inspections. /li liIdentify payment trends and recurring issues, evaluate their underlying causes, and contribute to improvements in revenue-cycle processes. /li liCollaborate with financial and clinical departments to support accurate, timely, and compliant payment operations. /li liProvide a high level of customer service to internal stakeholders, investigative sites, and external sponsors. /li liComplete all required and applicable training and perform additional duties as assigned. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liAt least b2 years of experience /b with a Contract Research Organization (CRO) or pharmaceutical company in a relevant role involving qualitative data entry, financial data validation, project management, contracts, or a related function is preferred. /li liFour-year college or university degree, or a two-year college qualification combined with at least one year of office administration or similar experience; equivalent demonstrated skills and performance may also be considered. /li liKnowledge and understanding of bICH, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA or EU directives /b, as applicable, as well as relevant local regulatory requirements. /li liStrong understanding of financial data, contracts, budgets, payment schedules, reconciliations, and reporting processes. /li liAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including bWord, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher /b. /li liExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with fluency in the language of the country of location. /li liAdvanced English proficiency is required; additional language skills such as bJapanese, Mandarin, or Turkish /b are preferred. /li liStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify discrepancies,
