InfluxData is the creator of InfluxDB, the leading time series platform used to collect, store, and analyze all time series data at any scale. You’ll be using your Linux ops and teamwork skills to maintain and extend foundational technologies to provide highly available, distributed services to customers who rely on InfluxData’s time series platform where metrics and events are first-class citizens.
You’ll join an awesome team, bringing experience in designing, implementing, and operating large scale, multi-cloud Kubernetes infrastructure driven by GitOps methodology. You understand that great products require great culture - you design and implement with respect and kindness across multiple engineering teams.
What You’d Bring To The Table
Production-level experience with Kubernetes and surrounding ecosystems (e.g., Istio, Vault, and other Cloud Native technologies)



in production environments.
Terraform and other automation tooling to make life more predictable: you’ve taken manual processes and automated them, or taken automated processes and refined them.
Hands-on experience with production workloads within managed and self-managed Kubernetes platforms as well as more general DevOps patterns (e.g., compute, storage, database, network) inside one or more of the cloud providers we use: AWS, Google, Azure.
Willingness to participate in a low-volume pager rotation and serve as a subject matter expert on many areas of Kubernetes and general infrastructure and operational principles.
Premio if you’ve had experience
CI/CD experience. We use CircleCI and GitHub Actions, but understanding methodology is more important than using the same vendors.
