About this vacancy:
The resource will work directly with the Telescope Department and will be involved in the Assembly, Integration, and Test activities of complex opto-mechanical systems, both at the client’s site and at the final installation sites. The role entails close collaboration with the AIT team and Optical Engineers, participating in integration activities, optical alignment, testing, and commissioning of telescopes,
including nighttime field testing. The environment is dynamic, rapidly growing, and offers a comprehensive experience throughout the entire system lifecycle.
What we expect from you:
- Technical institute, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, PhD in Physics (specialization in Optics) or related disciplines
- 1-2 years of experience in AIT activities will be considered a preferential qualification
- Experience in opto-mechanical integration and optical alignment (in industrial or research contexts)
- Ability to draft and manage AIT documentation (integration and test procedures, setup, as-run)
- Experience in handling mechanical and optical assemblies, instruments, and GSE
- Active participation in technical, review, and progress meetings
- Availability to support nighttime observational tests
- Excellent communication, reporting, and teamwork skills
