We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Commis de cuisine to join our Thompson Rome Pre-Opening Team We are looking for a commis de cuisine to support the daily operations of a kitchen section within a Luxury 5-Star Hotel. The commis de cuisine reports to the chef de partie ands sous chef. He/she plays a fundamental support role within the kitchen brigade. Responsible for assisting station chefs with preparation, cleanliness, and food consistency, the commis de cuisine contributes to the smooth operation of daily service across various kitchen sections.
This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with culinary training or early-stage experience who wish to grow within a dynamic and high-standard culinary environment.
The commis de cuisine is expected to demonstrate discipline,



eagerness to learn, and commitment to quality in every task performed.
Assist in buffet setup, banquets, or room service prep as needed.
Transport food items between kitchen stations, cold rooms, and service areas.
Follow all hygiene, allergen, and HACCP protocols.
Learn and execute new tasks as assigned, demonstrating progress.
Be flexible and assist other sections when needed.
Attend all required meetings and training sessions.
Service & Guest Experience
Contribute to the consistency and quality of guest experiences through precise prep and execution.
Be professional and courteous when interacting with guests during open kitchens, events, or live cooking stations.
Respect portion control and avoid unnecessary waste.
Support accurate requisitions and usage reporting through proper handling.
Qualification in Hospitality/Kitchen services/Tourism preferred
