About Us
Measmerize is a cutting-edge technology company focused on revolutionizing the fashion and e-commerce industry. Our data-driven approach and innovative algorithms provide customers with accurate size recommendations, improving their shopping experience and reducing returns for our partner retailers. We also provide our customers with a comprehensive buying experience, providing computer vision-based size recommendations and a Virtual Try On experience for the most well-known luxury brands.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team and play a key role in enhancing our size recommendation, Virtual-Try-On algorithms, and more. As a Data Scientist at Measmerize, you will work on developing and fine-tuning the machine learning models that power our size recommendation engine, improving accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will leverage your strong collaboration skills and ability to extract valuable insights from a large variety of data sets.
As our second technical hire in data science, you will work directly alongside our Senior Data Scientist. In an era where AI tools handle routine syntax, we don't care if you have memorized function signatures. We care about your ability to think logically, frame problems, leverage modern AI tooling, and independently drive solutions from raw concept to working code.
Key Responsibilities
- Pipeline Development: Build, test, and automate computer vision, GenAI, and machine learning pipelines for size recommendation and image processing.
- Process Automation: Design Python scripts and workflows to streamline data ingestion, preprocessing,
and model evaluation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data to improve algorithms.
- Rapid Prototyping: Take ambiguous technical challenges (e.g., image quality issues, body landmark detection edge cases) and prototype working fixes independently.
- Optimize algorithms for speed and scalability to handle large datasets.
- End-to-End Ownership: Take full accountability for small-to-medium features—from initial problem framing to testing and deployment.
Required Competencies & Profile
- STEM Foundation: Degree (or strong background) in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Independent Problem Solver: Strong capacity to unblock yourself when stuck. You know how to read documentation, isolate bugs, break down complex logic, and find solutions without waiting for step-by-step instructions.
- AI-Native Mindset: You fluently use AI coding assistants (Cursor, Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate your workflow, but you retain the technical critical thinking needed to audit, debug, and validate the generated code.
- Deep understanding of predictive modeling, machine-learning, clustering and classification techniques, and algorithms
- Core Technical Literacy:
Solid understanding of Python fundamentals, algorithm design, data structures, and basic machine learning / computer vision principles.
- Pragmatic Execution: You prioritize building practical, working solutions over theoretical over-engineering.
We are looking for skilled candidates who also share our values:
- Integrity: We respect ourselves and others, we do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do.
- Own it: We don’t pass the buck, the team depends and trusts in you. We are collectively accountable for the good outcomes, along with the bad.
- Execution: We want to create something worth creating, so we execute, monitor, learn, adjust then repeat. Iteration is at the heart of everything we do.
- Intellectual rigor: We are passionate about what we do, we encourage rigorous discourse and make decisions based on logic and data with every exchange based on facts.
- Collaboration: We value team over individual and no one should fear asking for help or be unwilling to help others. In this way we build the highest quality systems in everything we do.
What We Offer
- €30,000–35,000 gross annual salary (RAL), based on experience
- Meal vouchers
