Define and execute product and portfolio strategies, ensuring market alignment and driving product innovation and development from concept to launch. /p h3Summary /h3 pDefine the business case for launching new products and conduct market tests in collaboration with Product Marketing and Sales. Design and develop products based on customer specifications and/or sales requests. Maintain the company's product portfolio PL, understand each product's unit cost and contribution margin, and define strategies to reduce costs and manage the product lifecycle effectively. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liProduct Portfolio Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive product and portfolio strategies and plans. /li liUpdate management and the business on product positioning, release planning, and stakeholder management. /li liVision Evangelizing: Create a compelling product vision and effectively communicate it to internal and external audiences. /li liAs a product spokesperson, represents the product, e.g., at conferences, to customers, the press, and industry analysts if needed. /li liPricing: Develop and execute pricing strategies and tactics. /li liPerform cost analysis and set and communicate price levels. /li liRoadmaps: Decide on future directions and priorities for the product portfolio. /li liPublish and maintain roadmaps for internal and external stakeholders, including new launches and lifecycle management. /li liInnovation: Drive the innovation stage by creating and prioritising ideas based on customer insights and market trends. /li liCollaborate with internal teams to generate, gather, and collate ideas that deliver maximum value to the business. /li liProduct Discovery: Gain a deep understanding of customer and buyer personae needs by exploring problem spaces and validating product concepts. /li liUse structured approaches like prototyping to define and test ideas. /li liRequirements Gathering: Gather, analyse, prioritise, and document product requirements. /li liDefine use cases and evaluate trade-offs with the designer and production. /li liAnalysis: Understand market opportunities and develop business cases to justify investments. /li liDesign Build: Manage the product development process, create prototypes, and iterate based on feedback. /li liEnsure all product management, design, and engineering tasks are completed and meet quality assurance standards. /li liEnsure products meet business and customer requirements regarding features, performance,
and experience. /li liOperational Readiness Trials: Manage the internal roll-out of products and system updates. /li liOversee internal and external trials, including finding, managing, and negotiating with partners and suppliers in collaboration with product marketing. /li liCost Optimisation: Identify and execute plans to optimise product costs. /li liDefine strategies to reduce costs and decide on stop-sell actions when necessary. /li liTechnical Support: Provide 3rd-level technical support to marketing and sales teams, including price definition and product feasibility analysis. /li liDesign testing procedures for quality assurance of finished products. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liMust-haves /li liBachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). /li liStrong analytical skills and ability to create data-backed propositions. /li liTechnical Skills /li liProven experience in product management, strategy, and development. /li liExperience in Manufacturing /li liExperience in HVAC-R, industrial kitchens, or other industrial applications of temperature/humidity sensors. /li liLanguages: /li liFluency in Italian and English (mandatory level B2 or above) /li li(will be tested during the selection process). /li liAdvanced Microsoft Office skills: /li liExcel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), Word (revisions, cross-references), PowerPoint (timed presentations) /li li(will be tested during the selection process). /li liNice-to-have: /li liKnowledge of other European languages (Portuguese, Spanish, French, German). /li /ul h3Other required skills /h3 ul liExcellent interpersonal and communication skills. /li liCustomer-centric; effectively relates to customers and prospects. /li liPerseverance and tenacity; view a “no” as motivation to work harder. /li liFlexible and able to optimally allocate time and resources. /li liProactive problem solver with a sense of urgency. /li liAction-oriented; takes initiative and does not wait for instructions. /li liTeam player; works effectively and collaboratively with colleagues. /li liHighly organised; capable of achieving goals and meeting deadlines.
