In this role you will support policy, programme and resource mobilization to advance One Health approaches across agrifood systems, with emphasis on AMR, food safety and health of people, animals, plants and the environment. You will work with cross‑sectoral teams and partners to translate One Health concepts into practical governance, policies and investments. Your efforts will strengthen country capacity, international coordination and donor engagement. This position offers a chance to influence high‑impact health and food systems initiatives at FAO headquarters.
Provide policy and technical support for developing and implementing One Health policies, governance frameworks and multisectoral coordination in agrifood systems
Advance integration of One Health across food safety, AMR, animal, plant and environmental health
Support Members in AMR governance, prudent antimicrobial use, surveillance and evidence-based decision-making
Promote adherence to Codex Alimentarius, IPPC and WOAH standards and frameworks
Contribute to designing,



monitoring and reporting One Health projects aligned with FAO priorities
Facilitate collaboration across FAO offices and with external partners including Quadripartite and development partners
Support resource mobilization, programme development and donor engagement for One Health initiatives
Align with FAO initiatives like RENOFARM and InFARM and contribute to country capacity development
Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in relevant fields
Seven years of policy advice and analysis experience in food and nutrition security, agriculture or rural development
Proficiency in English and intermediate knowledge in another FAO official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish)
