ph3Role Summary /h3pJoin our global Controls Automation team as a Service Engineer Controls, delivering technical excellence and innovative solutions worldwide. You will provide professional support for Glass Forming equipment on the electrical and controls related tasks, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer training. This role requires a customer-focused mindset, strong digital and technical skills, high degree to work independently and a commitment to continuous improvement in line with Bucher Emhart Glass’ global standards. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliDemonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel internationally (approx. 70%) /liliEnsure consistently high customer satisfaction and uphold the strong reputation of BEG. /liliSupervise and perform electrical installation, commissioning, functional testing, calibration, and repairs on customer sites following BEG service standards. /liliConfigure and validate network systems (TCP/IP, routers, switches, remote access) for forming equipment. /liliConduct acceptance tests at Bucher Emhart Glass facilities and ensure full equipment functionality before shipment. /liliDevelop and follow Health Safety method statements and risk assessments and ensure BEG and customer HS requirements are met. /liliConduct customer training on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety, and support training content updates at Bucher Emhart Glass training centers. /liliPrepare complete service documentation, including trip-, time-, and expense reports. /liliProvide feedback on product quality, engineering design, and customer requirements; contribute to installed equipment databases and service product improvements.



/liliCollaborate with Product Management, Engineering, RD, and the Academy to provide technical feedback and contribute to training content. /li /ulh3Job Requirements /h3h3Qualifications Experience /h3ulliTechnical degree or equivalent qualification in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering e.g., bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. /liliMinimum of 2 years’ experience as a Field Service Engineer in international environment, ideally within glass industrial controls or automation equipment environments is a strong asset. /liliProven hands-on experience in customer service within the machinery industry. /liliStrong understanding of computer- and network systems and principles. /li /ulh3Skills Competencies /h3ulliStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities across multi-disciplinary systems. /liliCustomer-focused mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. /liliAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within global teams. /liliFluent in English (written and spoken); at least one additional major European language preferred /liliCompetence in Microsoft Office and service reporting systems (e.g., IFS). /liliStrong organizational skills and accuracy in documentation and reporting. /li /ulh3Additional Requirements /h3ulliAbility to undertake extensive international and domestic travel, including occasional short-notice assignments. /liliValid driver’s license and physical ability to handle and lift technical equipment. /liliWork environments include customer sites, manufacturing facilities, and office settings /li /ulpWe do not accept applications from recruitment agencies or intermediaries. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
