Senior Engineers work independently on complex technical problems, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to technical decisions within the user space sustaining team. /p pIn your daily job you will: /p h3Development Implementation /h3 ul liMaintain and enhance user space libraries and applications /li liFix bugs and address customer issues in production code /li liIntegrate new features while maintaining backward compatibility /li liOptimize application performance and resource usage /li liWrite high-quality,



maintainable code following team standards /li liDebug and resolve complex technical issues /li /ul h3Technical Leadership /h3 ul liProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers /li liParticipate in code reviews and technical discussions /li liContribute to architecture and design decisions /li liDrive technical improvements and best practices /li liLead technical initiatives and small projects /li /ul h3Team Collaboration /h3 ul liCollaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional partners /li liWork with distributed teams across US, Romania, and India /li liShare knowledge through documentation and technical discussions /li liParticipate in sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives /li liContribute to team process improvements /li /ul h3User Space Sustaining Specific /h3 ul liMaintain and enhance user space libraries (glibc, musl, etc.) /li liSupport application frameworks and middleware /li liAddress compatibility issues across different Linux distributions /li liOptimize application performance and resource usage /li liDesign solutions for complex user space problems /li liWork with customers on critical issues and escalations /li liGuide technical direction for user space components /li /ul h3HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE /h3 pKey skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are: /p ul liBachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field /li li5+ years of software engineering experience /li li3+ years of experience with embedded Linux or systems programming /li liExperience with C/C++ programming in production systems /li liStrong background in software development lifecycle /li libCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis - without requirement for any type of visa sponsorship/transfer, now, or at any time in future. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. /b /li libMust be a local resident of Greater Austin, TX , Walnut Creek, CA or San Diego, CA.
