Job Title: Senior Data Test Engineer

Introduction: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Test Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of our data systems, which underpin informed business decisions and operational excellence. The Senior Data Test Engineer will lead testing initiatives for complex data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions, ensuring high-quality data standards across the organization. This position demands expertise in test engineering, data quality engineering, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to validate analytics and maintain data excellence.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases focused on data validation, data integrity, and performance testing of data ingestion pipelines and ETL workflows.
Collaborate closely with data engineers, data architects,



and business analysts to understand data requirements and ensure test coverage aligns with business objectives.
Automate data testing processes using robust frameworks and tools to enhance efficiency and repeatability.
Identify, document, and track data defects and inconsistencies, facilitating timely resolution with development teams.
Validate data transformations and ensure data quality across multiple sources including relational databases, data lakes, and cloud storage environments.
Perform root cause analysis of data discrepancies and provide actionable insights to improve data quality and pipeline robustness.
Mentor junior test engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of data testing methodologies and best practices.
Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in data testing, data engineering, and related technologies to continually enhance testing strategies.
