ppThe HR Generalist is the primary HR presence for the Italian entity, owning the full employee /pplifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through employee relations, compliance, and offboarding.
This is a hands-on, standalone role: you will be the go-to person for managers and employees on all HR matters in Italy.
/ppThis position reports and works in close partnership with the Regional HR Manager EMEA, to ensure alignment with group-wide policies, tools, and reporting standards.
The HR Generalist /ppcollaborates with managers, supervisors, and employees in the Italian organization and the /ppOffice and nursery settings in Baselga di Pine, Trentino, Italy(Trento) Italy.

Recruitment Onboarding: Manage end-to-end hiring for corporate and field/operations roles (seasonal and permanent), including sourcing, interviewing, offer preparation, and new-hire onboarding.

Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for employee questions and concerns; support managers with performance issues, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution in line with Italian labor law.

Compliance Labor Law: Ensure full compliance with Italian employment legislation and the applicable national collective bargaining agreement (CCNL) for the agricultural sector, including contracts, working time, leave, and termination processes.

Payroll Benefits Coordination: Liaise with the external payroll provider (consulente del lavoro) and Finance to ensure accurate and timely payroll input; administer local benefits and welfare programs.

Performance Talent Management: Coordinate the local rollout of the group's performance review cycle, goal-setting, and development planning; support succession and talent conversations with site leadership.

HR Policies Documentation:
Maintain and localize HR policies, employee handbooks, and contract templates in line with Italian requirements and group guidelines.

HRIS Reporting: Keep employee data accurate and up to date in the group HRIS; produce regular headcount, turnover, and other people-metrics reports for the Regional HR Director.

Health Safety Support: Partner with site management and the RSPP/external consultants on HR-related aspects of workplace health and safety obligations (D.Lgs. *******).
/li /olh3REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND TRAINING /h3ulliEducation: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Law, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
/liliExperience: 3–5 years of experience in a generalist HR role in Italy, ideally within a small- to-mid sized company or a subsidiary of an international group; experience in agriculture, agribusiness, food production, or another operations-heavy sector is a plus.
/liliLabor law knowledge: Solid working knowledge of Italian labor law and hands-on experience applying a CCNL (agriculture sector experience strongly preferred).
/liliLanguages: Fluent Italian (native or near-native) and professional working proficiency in English.
/liliWays of working: Autonomous, hands-on, and comfortable being the sole HR presence on site; strong organizational skills and discretion in handling confidential information; ability to build trust with employees and managers at all levels and to prioritize work, follow through on a variety of requests and meet required deadlines.
Strong attention to detail is required.
/liliMobility: Willingness to travel occasional to the EMEA regional office in Spain.
/liliSystems: Highly proficient using Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
/liliFamiliarity with seasonal/agricultural workforce planning.
