/b /ppTrinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate and motivated bMedical Assistant /b to support our providers in delivering exceptional patient care.
In this role, you'll work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.
/ppbWhat You'll Do: /b /pulliWelcome and prepare patients for appointments.
/liliCollect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
/liliAssist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
/liliAdminister medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
/liliCommunicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
/liliProvide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
/liliCoordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
/liliSupport quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
/li /ulpbGeneral Requirements: /b /ppEDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED.
Successful completion of accredited/approved: /pulliMA program and MA Externship; /liliMA Internship; /liliEmergency Medical Technician (EMT) program; /liliParamedic program; or /liliCertified Athletic Trainer.
/li /ulpIf credentialed, maintains current MA Re-Certification CEUs.
/ppCREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: /ppMA-Non-Credentialed I: MA eligible to attain Medical Assistant Certification is desired, or EMT with current/active license in the State of Michigan, or Paramedic following successful completion of the National Registry Paramedic Exam and/or holds a current/active license in the State of Michigan.
Valid CPR certification.
/ppMA-Credentialed I: Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following certifying agencies:



/pulliAmerican Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) /liliAmerican Medical Technologists (RMA) /liliNational Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) /liliNational Healthcareer Association (CCMA) /liliNational Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA) /liliAmerican Medical Certification Association (CMAC) /li /ulpMINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 0-1 year previous clinical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
In absence of completed MA Program/Externship/Internship, must have 2+ years' clinical experience providing clinical support in community-based clinic and be subject to standardized testing and evaluation of clinical skills.
