Underwriter Property (temporary)

Joining AXA XL as an experienced Underwriter you will leverage your specialized expertise to underwrite even the most complex risks with a tailor-made and innovative approach.

In your underwriting role you will be responsible for writing new and renewal business for the product line, working with brokers and clients in support of the profitable growth of the portfolio in line with the agreed Business Plan, as well as developing high quality levels of relationships with brokers, clients and internal functions.
- This is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity regime._

What you’ll be DOING

What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Calculating appropriate risk premium by considering the risk costs inherent to the sector, reinsurance cessions as well as the Underwriting and general administration costs while ensuring profitability.
- Proactively advising, assisting, servicing,



and following up with clients on insurance and risk management matters to ensure satisfaction and fulfillment of their insurance requirements.
- Effective relationship management to initiate opportunities for cross-selling offered products and ensuring account retention.
- Controlling timely implementation of new and renewed accounts according to quality standards.
- Maintaining awareness of all claims advised while supporting and providing input on settlement of claims.

- Good knowledge of the insurance market and advanced experience of working within the Property Insurance industry.
