Shape the quality and reliability of the PCB assemblies and embedded technologies powering the next generation of EV charging solutions. At ABB E-mobility, we are accelerating the transition to sustainable transportation through innovative charging technologies. We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our Operations Test Engineering team and lead the development of robust manufacturing test solutions for PCB assemblies used across our EV charging portfolio. In this role, you will drive the definition, deployment, and continuous improvement of automated board-level test strategies, covering functional test, in-circuit test, embedded systems, and analog validation. Working closely with hardware, firmware, manufacturing, and quality teams, you will help ensure production excellence, first-pass yield, defect containment, traceability, and scalable release evidence from prototype builds through mass production.

Your Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy automated Functional Circuit Test (FCT) solutions for PCB assemblies, validating firmware readiness,



communication interfaces, I/O functionality, power supplies, sensors, safety circuits, analog signal chains, calibration data, and diagnostic coverage under controlled operating conditions.
Define and implement In-Circuit Test (ICT) strategies to detect manufacturing defects including shorts, opens, missing or incorrect components, polarity issues, passive-value deviations, power and ground integrity problems, and structural assembly faults before functional validation.
Develop embedded-system test automation solutions covering firmware programming, boot verification, configuration management, communication protocol validation, non-volatile memory checks, embedded diagnostics, and JTAG/boundary-scan access where applicable.
