Overview

In this role, you support the Product Management team to grow the Motion portfolio, focusing on Drives, Servo Systems and Controllers for the Machinery segment. You’ll collaborate with global factories and local sales to align specifications with market needs and drive product development, launch, pricing, and profitability. You will help identify growth opportunities in machine automation and digitalization, while training internal teams and partners. This is a cross-functional, impact-driven role within ABB’s Motion Drive Products division.

Responsabilità

- Manage technical specifications and positioning of assigned products, supporting portfolio development, launches, maintenance, pricing and profitability
- Develop the product portfolio (Drives, Servo Drives, Motion Controller) with sales and Business Developers to meet customer needs in Machinery
- Support OEMs and machine builders in selecting optimal motion control solutions
- Oversee market introduction, positioning, and lifecycle of new products, variants, software functionalities
- Provide training on new products to internal teams, channel partners, and customers




- Collaborate with factories to ensure market requirements are met and share industry feedback
- Prepare and update price lists to ensure competitive offerings
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis and communicate findings to sales
- Explore new growth opportunities in machine automation and industrial digitalization
- Serve as a reference point for sales on complex applications and keep them informed about new products and best practices

Requisiti fondamentali

- Experience in product management, technical sales or application engineering for industrial automation products
- Strong knowledge of Variable Speed Drives, Servo Systems, and Motion Controller; 7–10 years in automation
- Solid understanding of OEM machinery applications and machine-building processes
- Experience in automation applications in packaging, material handling, plastics, metalworking
- Strong relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Customer-oriented, proactive with ability to balance technical and commercial priorities
- Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken)
