Within the Electronics Division, we are looking for a Microelectronics Technician for our Rome Tiburtina office.
The person will be integrated into the Microwave Lab team in a motivating and interdisciplinary work environment consisting of microwave technicians, engineers, and physicists, interacting with other engineering areas.
The resource will be placed in a laboratory (cleanroom) and will be responsible for chip integration activities in packages, participating in the various phases of the microelectronic assembly process.
Specifically, they will deal with:
- dispensing of conductive and dielectric resins;
- positioning and alignment of chips;
- creation of interconnections via microwires (wire bonding) and/or ribbons;
- encapsulation and sealing activities of packages.
The figure will operate following technical procedures and quality standards, with the support and guidance of experienced personnel.
This area is for industrial pre-development, and therefore close collaboration with process engineers and microwave designers is required.
Educational Qualifications: Diploma from a Technical Institute

Knowledge and technical skills
- Passion for microelectronics: strong motivation to learn electronic assembly and integration activities.
- Excellent manual dexterity: precision, steady hand, and coordination for handling miniaturized components.
- Use of precision instruments: aptitude for using microscopes, tweezers, soldering irons, and laboratory equipment.
- Reading technical drawings: basic ability to understand electrical schematics, integration plans, and process documentation.
- Basics of micro-assembly: theoretical or academic knowledge of bonding and brazing techniques (chip in package).
- Process flows: basic knowledge of sealing and encapsulation of ceramic and plastic packages.
- Quality and method: aptitude for following operating procedures and quality standards in controlled environments (e.g., cleanrooms).
- Soft skills: accuracy, strong attention to detail, and willingness to work in a team.
Language skills: English B1 level

Other
The ideal candidate is available to carry out work mainly on-site and to undertake short/medium-term business trips, after adequate on-the-job training, in Italy and/or abroad.
