To strengthen the Global Property Risk Engineering and Loss Prevention value proposition by providing technical leadership, operational support and high-quality risk engineering services to internal and external stakeholders.

The role supports global and local teams in delivering consistent, technically robust and commercially relevant risk engineering outputs, while helping to improve data quality, operational effectiveness and client value across GC&C.;

Role mission

- Provide expert technical support on property risk engineering topics across countries and business units
- Contribute to the development of practical risk management solutions and loss prevention strategies
- Support the delivery of global projects, guidelines, tools and operational initiatives
- Promote consistent, high-quality risk engineering outputs, reporting standards and data quality
- Deliver best-in-class risk engineering services that support underwriting, client engagement and portfolio management.

Main responsibilities:

Provide global technical support for Property Risk Engineering

- Support and further develop the Property Risk Engineering framework, ensuring a consistent, holistic and technically robust approach
- Provide expert risk engineering support and high-quality support for GC&C; activities globally
- Define, maintain and improve processes that support business needs, underwriting decisions and client service delivery
- Assist countries with local initiatives, technical challenges and project implementation.

Drive and contribute to the global Risk Engineering and Loss Prevention value proposition

- Identify business opportunities, emerging risks and areas where risk engineering can add measurable value
- Develop and promote effective risk management and loss prevention solutions for clients and internal stakeholders
- Evaluate services to ensure they remain practical, flexible, cost-effective and aligned with business priorities
- Create and support loss lessons, technical risk topics, thought leadership material and other value-added initiatives.

Collaboration with key stakeholders

- Work closely with global and country stakeholders to foster collaboration, consistency and successful delivery
- Partner with central Risk Engineering colleagues to enhance the global value proposition and operational model
- Support country Risk Engineering heads in developing local value propositions aligned with group objectives
- Provide country risk engineers and managers with technical advice, guidance and expertise
- Deliver training to risk engineers and underwriters on property risk topics, methodologies and standards
- Monitor and improve consistency in technical guidelines, reporting practices and service outputs across the department.

Provide operational support and performance oversight





- Contribute to and lead selected global Risk Engineering projects and operational initiatives
- Track global KPIs, identify improvement opportunities and support continuous performance improvement
- Ensure global data quality, reporting accuracy and activity tracking meet agreed expectations
- Prepare monthly management reporting for the Global Head of Risk Engineering.

Requirements

- University degree in Engineering, Risk Management or a related technical discipline
- At least 7-10 years’ experience in property risk engineering, preferably within the insurance, industrial risk or loss prevention sector
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus (e.g. Italian).

Technical Expertise

- Strong technical expertise in property risk assessment, fire protection, natural hazards, business interruption and loss prevention practices
- Solid understanding of the insurance business, including underwriting needs, client engagement and portfolio risk management.

Business & Leaderhsip Skills

- Excellent communication, report-writing and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical topics into clear business insights
- Ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively with global, regional and country stakeholders
- Strong influencing, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to define priorities, execute strategies and deliver results within agreed timeframes
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
- Proactive mindset, with the ability to identify innovative and efficient ways of working
- High standards in service delivery, technical quality, data accuracy and reporting outputs.

What we offer:

The position will be offered at Job Level 7, under the terms of the ANIA National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL ANIA) for non-executive employees and the Generali Group Company Collective Agreement.

The starting gross annual salary will range between €75.000 and €90.000. The final compensation package will be determined in line with the candidate’s professional experience and the technical and soft skills relevant to the role and may also include an individual variable compensation component.
