Roles & Responsibilities:

Engineer will focus on supporting the different education systems, based on the requirements from Learning Mall internal and external users.
- Configure and administer Moodle LMS at application level, to support student and faculty users.
- Develop and maintain Moodle plugins, integrations and user-facing enhancements.
- Work with academic colleagues and Learning Mall teams to understand needs, identify opportunities and turn requirements into practical solutions. Take ownership from investigation and prototyping through testing, release and follow-up.
- Proactively improve usability, accessibility, application performance and reliability. Use user feedback, usage data and technical investigation to identify recurring problems and evaluate whether changes deliver measurable improvements.
- Connect Moodle with relevant university systems and educational tools through APIs and supported integration mechanisms, including media and virtual classroom services where required.
- Explore and prototype AI-enabled learning and support features.




- Assess plugin compatibility and application changes; plan and test Moodle upgrades and releases.
- Provide specialist support for complex Moodle issues, identify root causes and reduce repeat requests through fixes, clear guidance and targeted training. Contribute to relevant inductions, workshops and partner support.
- Maintain technical documentation and share knowledge with colleagues. Track relevant Moodle and educational technology developments and propose useful improvements; undertake other duties commensurate with the level and grade of the post.

Qualifications:
- Education background in Computer Science, Information Management and Information System, or relevant field; A relevant master’s degree is an advantage.
- Oversea education background or working experiences would be a plus.
- Professional experiences gained from industry and commercial projects would be a plus.
