This position reports to: Global Quality & Continuous Imp ManagerWe are looking for a Global Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) – Commodity PCBA & Cable, who will be responsible for leading the qualification, development, and performance management of a panel of approximately 10–15 global EMS suppliers located across different regions worldwide.
This position plays a key role within the rapidly growing Critical Power business, driven by the strong expansion of the data center market.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid / remote.
Roles and Responsibilities: Ensures the execution of the supplier qualification process and that the relevant suppliers are fully qualified and remain compliant with the required standards.




Leads improvement projects in collaboration with the on-site Supplier team (Supplier Development)Uses supplier quality management tools and systems for collaboration, reporting, monitoring and disposition of quality, delivery, cost, and compliance metricsEnsure consistency in the process/product controls performed on the different parts purchased from different ABB Manufacturing Units/ Local Sales Unit (LSOs).Leads in promptly addressing supply issues related to quality, deliveries, non-compliant products, or project services. Promotes early supplier involvement in product development activities to maximize capture of supplier innovation and drive improvements in quality, delivery, cost, and risk management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in electronic or electrical engineering 10+ years of experience in Quality Management roles within a EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) IndustryDeep product knowledge of IPC Standard.
