ppClimate17 is pleased to be working with a leading renewable energy EPC and OM provider delivering butility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage projects across the UK /b.
/p pDue to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to appoint an experienced bGrid Engineer /b to support the design, delivery and energisation of grid connections across major renewable energy projects.
/p pThis is a strong opportunity for someone with experience across b33kV and 132kV connections /b who wants exposure to large-scale Solar PV, BESS and wider grid infrastructure.
/p h3The Opportunity /h3 pWorking closely with engineering, project delivery, commercial teams and external network stakeholders, you will support grid connection projects from early-stage design and tendering through to construction, commissioning and energisation.
/p pYou will: /p ul liLead and support the design of grid connections in line with DNO and TSO requirements.
/li liDevelop technical specifications, engineering documentation and connection packages.
/li liManage relationships with bDNOs, TSOs and ICPs /b.
/li liSupport equipment selection and ensure compliance with relevant Grid Code requirements.
/li liCoordinate technical inputs across engineering and project delivery teams.
/li liSupport the procurement and management of ICP contractors and subcontractors.
/li liAssist with grid studies, protection settings, commissioning documentation and energisation.
/li liProvide technical support throughout construction and operational phases.
/li liSupport the delivery of utility-scale bBESS and Solar PV projects /b.
/li /ul h3About You /h3 pYou will ideally have: /p ul liA degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
/li liExperience delivering grid connections at b33kV and 132kV /b.
/li liExperience at 66kV, 275kV or 400kV would be advantageous.
/li liStrong knowledge of DNO, TSO and ICP processes.
/li liExperience managing ICP contractors and connection works.
/li liKnowledge of Grid Code requirements and electrical infrastructure design.
/li liStrong stakeholder management and project coordination skills.
/li liExperience within renewables, utilities or wider power infrastructure.
