We are looking for an experienced web designer/developer or creative digital agency to completely rethink and redesign the website of our independent publishing company, Special Art Books. Our current website is built on WordPress/Elementor, and we have recently completed a new visual identity. We now want to create a modern, distinctive and professional website that better represents the brand and can become our long-term digital platform.

We are currently evaluating Shopify, Webflow and a redesigned/custom WordPress solution, but we are intentionally not defining the platform in advance. We would like the selected professional/agency to review our current website, understand our objectives and recommend the solution they believe is best for us.

Our priorities are

strong creative and visual design; excellent mobile-first and desktop experience; simple day-to-day management by our internal team; ability for us to update books, images, content and make reasonable layout/visual changes without depending on a developer; low technical maintenance and a stable managed setup where possible; a strong structure for books, collections/series, creators, resources and editorial content; strong SEO foundations and a safe migration of existing relevant URLs/content; good performance and accessibility; multilingual capability; flexibility to introduce direct ecommerce in the future without having to rebuild or migrate the entire website again. The website is currently more focused on brand, publishing catalogue, content and discovery than direct ecommerce, but future ecommerce capability is an important consideration when recommending the platform. We are looking for someone who can potentially manage the project from strategy to launch, including platform recommendation, information architecture/UX,



creative direction, visual design, development, responsive implementation, content/data migration strategy, SEO migration, testing, launch and handover.
