Game Development Co-Development & Project Assistance

Blood Stain Games collaborates with developers, publishers, contractors, and game studios that need additional development support for their projects.

Important: We do not hire developers directly — this is not an employment opportunity. We provide paid game development services to other studios/developers on a project/contract basis.

We offer external game development and co-development services to help existing projects move forward and reach a playable, polished, release-ready state — from prototypes to near-release builds.

What We Offer:

- Gameplay programming and implementation

- New gameplay mechanics and systems

- Feature implementation

- Bug fixing and debugging

- Game optimization

- UI and menu systems

- Game progression and balancing

- 2D and pixel-art implementation

- 3D game development (client must provide 3D objects/assets, free or paid — we don't create 3D art)

- Multiplayer implementation and services

- Game systems and tools

- Steam integration and preparation

- Build preparation and updates

- Prototyping

- General development and technical assistance

- Expansion of existing game concepts

How Collaboration Works:
The project remains with the original developer/studio while we provide agreed development services. A formal contract is signed before work begins, covering scope, payment, deadlines, IP, and confidentiality. Communication is in English (minimum B2 level).

Depending on the project, we offer:

- Short-term development assistance

- Feature-based development

- Ongoing development support

- Co-development (working alongside your existing team)

Compensation:

We work on paid collaborations only, reviewed based on scope and timeline. Compensation is negotiable and agreed before signing the contract.

This is a project-based collaboration — not permanent employment.

Why do we enjoy working here?

What working with us looks like:

- Creative freedom and realization: We help bring your existing creative vision to life — the project and its direction remain yours.

- Ability to influence the product: All development work is done in coordination with you; you review, approve, and guide implementation throughout.

- Clear scope and management: Every collaboration starts with a signed contract defining scope, deadlines, and responsibilities — no ambiguity about what's being delivered.

- Professional, structured process: You'll work with an experienced external development team used to collaborating with other studios and following professional workflows.

- Working on real, promising projects: We only take on projects we believe we can genuinely help move forward and improve.

- Regular communication and updates: We provide progress updates and are open to feedback throughout development, not just at the end.

Collaboration terms:

- Engagement type: Project-based / contract work — not employment. No holidays, sick days, or standard employee benefits apply, as this is a B2B service arrangement.

- Location: Fully remote — all collaboration is conducted online.

- Schedule: Flexible, agreed per project based on deadlines and milestones defined in the contract.

- Communication:

In English (minimum B2 level), via the channels agreed with the client (e.g. email, Discord, project management tools).

- Payment terms: Compensation and payment schedule are agreed upon and defined in the contract before work begins.

The selection process

Stage 1 — Project submission: You submit your project details (as outlined in "Project Requirements" above), including game description, current stage, engine, team size, required assistance, and available budget.

Stage 2 — Initial review: Our team reviews the submitted information to assess whether the project fits our current capacity and expertise. We also review the proposed project and budget to determine whether it is suitable for us to take on — projects and compensation that don't align with the scope of work required may not move forward.

Stage 3 — Discussion call/messages: If the project looks like a good fit, we'll reach out to discuss details further, clarify scope, and answer any questions — no formal interview, just a direct conversation about the project.

Stage 4 — Contract & scope agreement: Once both sides agree on scope, timeline, and compensation, we prepare and sign a formal contract before development begins.

Test task: We do not require a paid or unpaid test task. Instead, we may request a short technical discussion or review of your existing build/codebase (if available) to properly scope the work.

Decision speed: We aim to respond to project submissions within a few business days. Timelines for final agreement depend on how quickly project scope and budget are clarified.

Emphasis in your submission: Rather than a cover letter, we focus on the clarity of your project description — what you're building, what specific help you need, your current development stage, and your available budget. Submissions with clear, concrete details are prioritized.
