ppRINA is currently recruiting for a Genoa Junior Marine Surveyor - Categorie Protette 68/99 to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Mediterranean and Africa Marine Division. /p pWe are looking for a Junior Surveyor registered as a protected category candidate under ItalianLaw 68/99. /p h3Mission /h3 pThe Junior Surveyor is to contribute to the organization's commitment to maritime safety, compliance, and excellence by applying knowledge of Rules, Regulations, and industry principles. /p pThe Junior Surveyor supports the surveying team in performing routine inspections, maintaining accurate documentation, and staying informed about evolving industry practices. /p h3Key Accountabilities /h3 ul liProfessional Application /li liActs as a professional specialist, applying relevant knowledge of rules, regulations, standards, and industry concepts within the organization’s framework. /li liApplies technical knowledge and professional judgment within the scope of assigned responsibilities. /li /ul ul liInspection and Reporting /li liConducts routine surveys and inspections of classed ships, platforms, and marine structures to verify compliance with classification and statutory requirements. /li liPerforms surveys in accordance with the guidance and supervision of a Surveyor, Senior Surveyor, or Principal Surveyor. /li liPrepares technically accurate, complete, and timely inspection and survey reports. /li liClearly documents findings, observations, and any relevant recommendations arising from surveys. /li /ul ul liFile Maintenance /li liMaintains survey files in an orderly, accurate, and up-to-date manner within the assigned area of responsibility. /li liEnsures that relevant survey documentation and records are properly maintained and readily accessible. /li /ul ul liContinuous Learning /li liMaintains an active awareness of new working methods, technical developments, regulations, and industry practices relevant to assigned responsibilities. /li liEngages in continuous learning to enhance technical knowledge and professional skills related to surveying activities. /li liKeeps up to date with applicable classification and statutory requirements. /li /ul ul liProblem-Solving /li liIdentifies and assesses technical issues encountered during surveys. /li liRecommends appropriate approaches and solutions to problems within the scope of assigned responsibilities. /li liSeeks guidance and supervision from more experienced surveyors when required. /li /ul ul liCollaboration and Guidance /li liCollaborates effectively with Surveyors, Senior Surveyors, Principal Surveyors, and other relevant colleagues to ensure accurate and effective survey outcomes. /li liSeeks guidance and support from more experienced surveyors when dealing with complex or unfamiliar situations. /li liParticipates actively in team activities and contributes to a professional and collaborative working environment.



/li /ul ul liQuality Assurance /li liContributes to maintaining a high standard of quality and consistency in surveying activities under the guidance of experienced surveyors. /li liAssists in ensuring adherence to established standards, procedures, rules, and applicable requirements. /li liSupports the accurate and consistent execution of survey activities and reporting. /li /ul ul liClient Interaction /li liEngages with clients and other relevant stakeholders as directed by more experienced surveyors. /li liCommunicates professionally and effectively when addressing technical matters within the assigned area of expertise. /li liContributes to identifying and resolving client-related issues in collaboration with experienced surveyors. /li /ul ul liProfessional Development /li liActively participates in training programs, technical courses, and developmental activities. /li liContinuously develops the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to perform surveying activities effectively. /li liProgresses toward becoming a fully competent and independent surveyor. /li /ul ul liEthical Conduct /li liUpholds the highest ethical and professional standards in all activities and interactions. /li liEnsures integrity, transparency, impartiality, and fairness throughout survey processes. /li liPerforms all professional duties in accordance with the organization’s code of conduct, policies, and applicable professional standards. /li /ul h3Education /h3 pMaster’s Degree in Naval Engineering /p h3Qualifications /h3 ul liProficiency in Italian and English languages relevant with the scope of classification, statutory certification, related services and, before assignment, with future work. /li liAbility to develop a working knowledge of RINA Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and instructions, as well as the RINA Employee Safety Policy. /li liAbility to understand engineering plans and have a basic knowledge of shipbuilding practices and ship operations. /li liAbility, to perform new building surveys: /li /ul ul lito assess the suitability of certified materials and products supplied for the new building, /li lito assess that hull, machinery and equipment have been built in compliance with rules and regulations by means of compulsory inspections, tests and trials, /li lito issue Certificates, Reports, Records and Status in compliance with rules and regulations. /li /ul pAnd/or: /p pship in service surveys: /p ul lito assess that hull, machinery and equipment have been maintained in compliance with rules and regulations by means of compulsory overall inspections, tests and trials /li lito identify the deficiencies to be rectified (if any)



and assess whether immediate repair is necessary or a condition may be issued with an appropriate due date, /li lito follow‑up as required by rules and regulations any repair work or due to previous outstanding conditions, /li lito assess whether the deficiencies identified (if any) may be linked with potential failure of the Ship Management System, /li lito endorse Certificates, issue Reports and Status in compliance with rules and regulations. /li /ul pAnd/or: testing activities: /p ul lito assess the suitability of certified materials and products in compliance with applicable rules /li lito issue Certificates and prepare Reports and Status in compliance with procedures. /li /ul ul liKnowledge of ships' engineering systems and machinery. /li liKnowledge of computer programs or software packages related to job responsibilities. /li liKnowledge of related technical interfaces required for group project work. /li /ul pApplications will be considered from both recent graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant or comparable work experience. /p h3Competencies /h3 ul liWORKPLACE DYNAMICS - Resourcefulness in shaping progress and working efficiently. /li liPERSONAL EMPOWERMENT - Ownership for life, work and results, striving to grow professionally and personally. /li liFORESIGHT INSIGHT - Context awareness adopting a systemic perspective and informed decision making. /li liINTERPERSONAL INFLUENCE - Skills and strategies we use to interact effectively with others. /li liDOMAIN BUSINESS ACUMEN - Applying a scientific approach and critical thinking in operations and solution development within area of expertise. /li /ul h3Compensation Data /h3 pThe salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with bCCNL RINA /b (CNEL code I480). /p pThe gross annual salary range foreseen is between €31.000 and €38.000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role. /p pIn addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements. /p pThe overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare. /p pRINA is a multinational company providing a wide range of services in the energy, marine, certification, infrastructure mobility, industry, research development sectors.
