Position overview
As the Specialist, Practice Marketing - Industry, you’ll join an international, high-energy marketing team where collaboration and innovation thrive. This is a hands-on role at the forefront of driving Bain’s brand, reputation and commercial objectives. You’ll partner with practice leadership, client heads, account teams and colleagues across Marketing to execute high-impact marketing programs that build Bain’s visibility and credibility, deepen engagement with priority clients and accounts, and support business growth.
You’ll collaborate with a variety of teams, including editorial, brand, SEO, paid media, email, PR and events to deliver high-impact campaigns. Key responsibilities
Execute marketing strategies that increase awareness and credibility for Bain and our core solutions, deepen engagement with priority accounts and key clients, and support commercial objectives.
- Develop an understanding of target audiences, priority accounts and key clients; find new and innovative ways to reach them e.g., through events, targeted advertising, speaking opportunities, influencer collaborations.
- Use data to develop performance insights; proactively monitor and analyze to make sure activities reach key client decision makers. Make recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends as well as marketing trends, in order to inform decision-making.
- Conduct market and competitor research to inform the development and positioning of our expertise, as well as overall marketing approach.
- Become a regular user of Bain’s CRM system, understanding the core functionality and the insight it provides into target audiences and priority accounts,
and partner with CRM colleagues to support broader audience and priority account data needs.
- In partnership with Client Heads and account teams, execute marketing plans for priority accounts, providing ongoing marketing support and ensuring activity is aligned with relevant industry and capability marketing strategies.
- Maintain a comprehensive view of relationships at priority accounts, including our outreach to and engagement from the people who matter most, to inform marketing plans and activities.
Execute highly impactful marketing campaigns across channels, audiences, and accounts, in close collaboration with other marketing teams and the business.
- Execute campaigns targeting broader audiences and priority accounts across multiple channels, leveraging a strategic mix of assets, e.g., email, paid media, social media, video, and in-person activations; have working knowledge of options available, when to use and ways to optimize.
- Partner with Client Heads and account teams to identify opportunities of highest relevance based on pipeline activity and client priorities, and execute account-based marketing programs in support of key sales plays, direct pursuits and must-win commercial opportunities.
- Create, update, and maintain foundational marketing assets such as webpages, partner profiles, and related materials, prioritizing relevant and timely updates.
- Support email campaigns, including selecting content and recommending framing for key audiences, as well as targeted mailings to priority accounts, clients and decision makers.
- Serve as an advisor and core user of the internal content marketing platform, responsible for aggregating data, flagging gaps, pinpointing trends and identifying enhancement requirements.
- Measure the results of campaigns and major deliverables through both analytics and direct feedback; present actionable insights to refine strategies, including monitoring engagement and campaign performance for priority accounts.
- Support event execution for select conferences and Bain-hosted client events; includes invites, follow-ups, etc., including coordination with account teams to engage priority clients.
- Create communications to promote marketing activities to key internal audiences.

Required education
- An undergraduate degree in business / marketing
Required qualifications
- 3-4+ years of relevant B2B marketing experience
Preferred qualifications
- Professional services experience
- Experience in the relevant industry
- Account rep experience a plus
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Required:
- Expertise and previous experience in marketing programmes and processes
- Ability to proactively conceive and suggest new approaches and solutions
- Demonstrated ability to take a lead on coordinating and executing distinct projects and/or large and regional events, including managing the budget, contributing to objective / goal definition etc.
- Demonstrated ability to understand local office and relevant industry practice marketing objectives and priorities, as well as content
- Effective written and oral communication skills, ability to liaise with stakeholders of various seniorities with minimal input from Manager
- Ability to interact with external contacts / parties as knowledgeable Bain marketing representative
- Client-centric mind set
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, and ability to pivot based on input from senior partners
