? Location: The Foundry, West Ham United Foundation, plus delivery locations across East London & Essex

Do you have a passion for football, coaching and making a positive difference to young people?

West Ham United Foundation is looking for passionate and skilled Premier League Kicks Sessional Coaches to join our team and use the power of football and sport to engage, inspire and empower young people across East London and Essex.

The Premier League Kicks programme works with young people aged 8–18, providing opportunities through football, multi-sport, volunteering, mentoring, workshops, education and employment pathways.

We support young people who may face barriers including social exclusion, challenging school environments, anti-social behaviour, youth violence and other complex needs.

As a Sessional Coach, you will play an important role in creating safe, positive and inclusive environments where young people can build confidence, develop skills, improve their wellbeing and realise their potential.

⚽ WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

You will:

- ⚽ Plan and deliver high-quality football and multi-sport sessions for U8–U18s.
- ? Build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
- ? Create welcoming environments where every young person feels valued and included.
- ? Support young people with confidence, emotional regulation, wellbeing and behavioural challenges.
- ? Encourage participation, personal development and positive progression.
- ?️ Ensure all sessions meet health, safety and safeguarding requirements.
- ? Complete registers, monitoring, surveys, participant information and session records.
- ⚠️ Complete appropriate risk assessments and report incidents or accidents.
- ? Deliver sessions across a range of communities and environments throughout East London and Essex.
- ? Support specialist delivery for girls and young women.
- ♿ Deliver accessible and adaptable activities for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- ? Continue to develop your coaching skills through CPD and professional development.

? GIRLS & YOUNG WOMEN

♿ SEND – SPECIALIST DELIVERY

You will also have the opportunity to support young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

This includes:

- ⚽ Planning and delivering adaptable and accessible sporting activities.
- ? Understanding and responding to individual needs.
- ? Creating inclusive environments where everyone can participate.
- ? Helping young people develop confidence, social skills and positive relationships.
- ? Enabling participants to engage, develop and thrive.

We are looking for coaches who have:

- ? Experience working with young people in group settings.
- ? Experience supporting young people facing complex needs or challenges.
- ? Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- ? The ability to adapt to different environments and behaviours.
- ? A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- ? The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
- ? A strong commitment to delivering a high-quality service.
- ? A willingness to develop your own skills, knowledge and CPD.

Previous experience in youth work, mentoring or community settings is highly desirable.

? ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Essential:

- ⚽ FA Football Coaching Qualification – Level 1 / Level 2
- ? FA Emergency First Aid Certificate
- ?️ FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
- ? Experience working with young people in group settings
- ? Enhanced DBS clearance
- ? Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and school holidays
- ? Ability and willingness to deliver sessions across East London and Essex, where required
