Purpose of the position: As Procurement Manager for Sustainable Infrastructure Business Line (Corporate), you will respond to the Sustainable Infrastructure Supply Chain Business Partner and be part of the Supply Chain Function and lead a team of people.
How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:
- Oversee Procurement activities in support of new tendering initiatives within the Sustainable Infrastructure Business Line, including defining the cost-estimating approach, supervising bidding activities, assessing Procurement risks, and identifying staffing requirements.
- Supervise Procurement activities for Sustainable Infrastructure Business Line projects under execution, including representing Saipem in Procurement Technical Committees, supporting project staffing, monitoring and addressing critical issues, and contributing to key decisions on critical scopes of work.
- Support the Supply Chain Business Partner in setting up and further developing the Procurement organization, including recruiting, training and mentoring activities, in line with the Sustainable Infrastructure Business Line’s strategic objectives;
- Support the Supply Chain Business Partner in defining and implementing standard operating tools and methodologies to support functional activities within a continuous improvement framework.
- Support the Supply Chain Business Partner in managing vendors and expanding vendor lists, including through market scouting activities, while leveraging lessons learned and feedback from projects under execution.
What are we looking for?
Education: Master's Degree/bachelor’s degree in: Engineering (preferably Civil Engineering) or Economics.
Experience: a minimum of 5 years' experience as Procurement Manager and extensive procurement experience in major infrastructure projects, preferably railway and metro initiatives in Italy.
Languages: good proficiency in both written and spoken English.
Technical/IT Skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
experience with industry-standard procurement and enterprise management platforms (e.g., SAP, SAP Ariba Sourcing, Synergo, JAGGAER, etc.).
What else should you know? The role will be based in Milan and you will have the opportunity to travel occasionally to project sites, both in Italy and abroad.
