Purpose of the position: Site Logistics Officer, you will be part of the Saipem Drilling Offshore business line.
How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:
- Assist in: fulfilling marine operating fleet inward/outward formalities and customs clearance; obtaining vessels navigation and operational permit/authorization; supervise Customs formalities from materials receipt up to final transportation offshore onto the vessel involved;
- Supervision and updating record of the services rendered by local subcontractors in accordance with related contract/agreement provisions and issue/request Service Entry/Work Order to regularize these services and release payments;
- Ensure all materials received are in good conditions and provided with the documentation needed, in case of any damage or discrepancy, liaise with Shipping and Customs and Expediter in order to promptly activate remedial actions and/or notify insurance department;
- Ensure a proper material traceability upon delivery from/to Logistic base and from/to the final installation vessel once loaded onto supply vessel/cargo barge,
and keep consequently a detailed updated data base of the project materials together with all related documentation;
- Assist in: maintaining adequate care and custody of materials; defining and optimize storage requirements (open, sheltered, warehouse, stacking arrangements) in accordance with specific characteristics and requirements, considering any possible safety/environmental issue
What are we looking for? Education: High School Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in technical or commercial fields Experience: at least 2 years as a logistics or material coordinator preferably in O&G;, Offshore Industry, Industrial Project, Project freight forwarding fields or as operative clerk in a Marine Agency. Previous work experiences abroad and in a multicultural/multiethnic context are positively considered.
Languages: good knowledge of English language is compulsorily requested, both written and spoken. A second foreign language is appreciated.
Technical/IT Skills: SAP, Teams, Outlook, MS Office main apps. Knowledge of INCOTERMS, Customs regimes, cargo transportation methods and related technicalities are of added value for the candidate.
What else should you know? Some travelling will be expected within Italy and/or abroad.
