Leonardo is a technological and industrial partner of Governments, Defense Administrations, Institutions, and businesses.Within the HW & FW AIRBORNE SENSOR & EO organizational unit of the Electronics Division, we are looking for a FW Designer for our Campi Bisenzio office.Key responsibilities include:- Development of digital hardware in the context of projects for electro-optical sensor systems, radar sensors, and avionics equipment.Education:- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or PhysicsSeniority: Junior-ExpertTechnical Knowledge and Skills:- Skills in firmware development for FPGAs; - Knowledge of main FPGAs: AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Microchip; - Knowledge of hardware description languages VHDL, Verilog,
and HLS; - The following skills are considered a plus:- Skills in design/validation in FPGA of Hi-Speed serial links; - Skills in implementingDigital Signal Processing functions; - Skills in image processing in FPGA; - Ability to use and integrate third-party IPs; - Development of complexalgorithms in FPGA.- Analysis of requirements and drafting of firmware specifications for FPGAs; - Validation of requirements; - Development of test benches for firmware FPGA verification; - Production of all documentation associated with the firmware development cycle; - Timing Closure;- Knowledge of standard HW/FW development processes (e.G., RTCA/DO 254).Behavioral Skills:- Proactivity; - Ability to work in a team; - Problem-solving attitude; - Flexibility in dealingwith topics outside one's area of expertise.Language Skills:- Good knowledge of English (B2)IT Skills:- Document management tools using the MS Office suite; - Software for requirements management, such as ReqTracer and Doors; - FW development tools: Vivado, Vitis, Quartus, ModelSim, QuestaSim, HDL Designer, HLS, and System Generator; - Modeling tools (Model Driven Engineering): Mathlab and Simulink; - Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and measurement tools for hardware validation.Other:- The ideal candidate is available to perform work primarily on-site and to undertake short/medium-term business trips, after adequate on-the-job training, in Italy and/or abroad.- Involvement, enhancement of skills,
