We also welcome motivated entry-level candidates interested in developing a career in machining and field service. /p pThe preferred location for this position is bGenoa /b, bItaly /b. /p h3Your role and responsibilities /h3 pAs part of the In‑Situ Machining team, you will support both workshop and field service activities. Depending on your experience, you will receive training in machining, tooling, maintenance, and Wärtsilä's safety and quality standards. /p h3Your responsibilities will include: /h3 ul liPerform machining, maintenance, upgrades, and repair activities on Wärtsilä and customer equipment, both in the workshop and at customer sites. /li liSupport global field service projects by preparing, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing tooling and equipment used for In‑Situ Machining operations. /li liCarry out workshop activities including milling, fabrication, measurement, tooling maintenance, and equipment preparation for field assignments. /li liManage andmaintaintooling inventory,



ensuring tools and measuring equipment are available, calibrated, and ready for use. /li liEnsure all activities are performed in compliance with Wärtsilä safety requirements, quality standards, and customer site procedures. /li liPerform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, accuracy, and safe operation. /li liPrepare technical reports and complete time and expense documentation according to Wärtsilä standards. /li liWork closely with colleagues and customers to support project execution, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality service worldwide. /li /ul h3Requirements for the position /h3 ul liTechnicalhigh schoolbackground(e.g.Mechanical, Marine, Electrical vocationalschoolor related fields). /li liWillingness to travel extensively in Italy or abroad (up to 80% of the working days). /li liGood knowledge of Italian and English. /li liProven hands-on skills (both work and/or hobby related). /li liStrong problem-solving skills. /li liGood communicationskills to collaborate with customers and internal teams. /li liTeam-oriented mindset and ability to work in dynamic environments. /li liMotivation to learn, develop, and grow professionally. /li liValid driving license (Category B). /li /ul h3As an ideal candidate you might also have… /h3 ul liPreviousexperience in machining, mechanical maintenance, field service or workshop,is highly welcome. /li liPreviousIn-Situ Machining experienceis highly recommended. /li liBasic knowledge of machining processes (milling, turning, measuring). /li liFamiliarity with workshop tools, measuring instruments, and calibration activities. /li liExperience with reciprocating engines or industrial equipment. /li liBasic computer skills for reporting and documentation. /li liExtensive technical training and development. /li liInternational field service experience.
