ph3Job Title: /h3pMetal Welder /ph3Reports to: /h3pOperations Director /ph3Status: /h3pNon-Exempt /ph3Job Summary: /h3pThe primary objective of the Metal Welder is to weld, cut, and fabricate metal components and products by using plasma cutting and hand welding equipment. /ph3Essential Duties/Responsibilities: /h3ulliGathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job /liliWelds and fabricates various products and equipment using cutting and welding techniques and equipment /liliMonitors the welding process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage /liliPrepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded /liliMaintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area daily /liliNotifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered /liliPerform other duties as assigned by management /li /ulh3Required Skills and Qualifications: /h3ulliHigh school diploma or equivalent /liliMinimum of 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience /liliThorough understanding of welding systems and tools used in welding including designs, uses,



maintenance and repair /liliBasic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints /liliExcellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms /liliBasic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments /liliCritical thinking and problem-solving skills /liliEffective communication skills /liliEager to learn, take initiative, and leadership skills with an ownership mindset /liliMust be a team player with a positive attitude and strong time management skills /liliAbility to work extended hours with little advance notice to meet project deadlines, if needed /liliMust be able to audibly communicate clearly (regularly talk and hear), read at a distance and close to eyes with or without correction /li /ulh3Physical Demands and Work Environment: /h3ulliRequires sitting, standing, walking, and bending for 8-hour periods. /liliAbility to occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. /liliManufacturing environment: may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, dust, or dirt /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
