Through laser-based wireless power transmission, we aim to overcome the energy limitations of today’s satellites and enable longer, more capable, and more resilient operations in orbit. /p pAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to the development of mechanical hardware for ORiS’ laser-based Wireless Power Transmission space payloads, supporting technologies such as high-power laser sources, precision pointing and integrated thermal management. /p pWorking closely with the Lead Mechanical Engineer and a multidisciplinary team, you will take technical ownership of assigned flight hardware from design and structural analysis through manufacturing, integration and environmental testing. /p pThis is a hands-on role for an engineer with strong experience in space hardware mechanical design, structural analysis and flight hardware development. /p pbWhat You Will Do /b /p ul liDesign and develop payload structures, assemblies and mechanical interfaces from concept through qualification. /li liPerform and review structural analyses including static, modal, sine and random vibration, using hand calculations and FEA. /li liDevelop and release flight hardware using 3D CAD, engineering drawings, GDT and tolerance analysis, managing design data, BOMs and revisions through PDM/PLM systems. /li liImplement and maintain mechanical requirements and interfaces for assigned hardware, working with Systems, Thermal, Optical and Electronics teams. /li liPlan and execute mechanical environmental test and AIT activities, including vibration testing, support thermal-vacuum campaigns, and correlate analytical models with test results.
/li liSupport mechanical design reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers. /li liMaintain engineering documentation, configuration and design changes in accordance with ORiS' Quality Management System and applicable ISO 9001 requirements. /li /ul pbWhat We Are Looking For /b /p ul liBSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. /li li5+ years of experience in spacecraft, satellite payload or aerospace mechanical engineering. /li liDemonstrated experience taking hardware from design through manufacturing, integration and environmental testing. /li liStrong experience in structural analysis and FEA, including static, modal and random vibration analysis. /li liProficiency with professional CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA or NX) and FEA tools (e.g. ANSYS Mechanical, Altair HyperWorks/OptiStruct, FEMAP/NASTRAN or equivalent), with familiarity with PDM/PLM systems and controlled engineering release workflows. /li liStrong knowledge of mechanical design, materials, manufacturing processes, GDT and tolerance analysis. /li liKnowledge of space hardware mechanical verification, environmental testing and ECSS standards. /li liProfessional proficiency in English. /li /ul pbNice to Have /b /p ul liExperience with optical or laser payloads, precision mechanisms or pointing systems. /li liExperience with thermo-elastic analysis and dimensional stability of precision structures. /li liExperience with FEM model correlation, vibration/modal testing or shock analysis. /li liPrevious experience in a NewSpace or fast-paced aerospace environment. /li /ul pbOur Offer /b /p ul liEUR 1,000 per year in fringe benefits /li liFlexible lavoro da remoto arrangements, subject to project needs /li /ul pbIf you want to help create the future of energy in space and contribute to technologies that could transform the way humanity operates beyond Earth, join ORiS. /b /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
