A job adapted to your career ambitions and in which you could have an impact for the years to come? /p pWe are looking for a bProject Management Office (PMO) Officer /b to work at ESA's premises in Frascati, Italy or Noordwijk, The Netherlands. /p pYou will support the governance, planning, monitoring, and reporting of ESAIT projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with ESA strategic objectives, ESAIT governance processes, portfolio management practices, and project lifecycle methodologies. /p h3About the client and location /h3 pThe European Space Agency (ESA) is an intergovernmental organisation committed to studying space and increasing global awareness on current space exploration and related scientific research. /p pESAis responsible for outlining and implementing the current European space programme and ensuring its successful execution. Current programmes aim to develop new and existing satellite-based technologies, further our understanding of space whilst also using this information to study Earth and the current climate. /p h3Tasks and activities /h3 pThe scope of work will include: /p h3Portfolio Governance Oversight /h3 ul liSupporting the implementation and continuous improvement of the ESAIT PMO framework. /li liEnsuring compliance with ESA project management processes, governance requirements, and gate review procedures. /li liMonitoring project performance against scope, schedule, budget, risks, and quality objectives. /li liFacilitating governance boards, steering committees, and project reviews. /li liMaintaining portfolio dashboards and management reporting. /li /ul h3Planning Reporting /h3 ul liSupporting project managers in maintaining project plans, milestones, dependencies, and resource forecasts. /li liConsolidating management information from project teams. /li liPreparing monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports for ESAIT management.



/li liSupporting the preparation of portfolio performance indicators and executive summaries. /li /ul h3Risk, Issue Change Management /h3 ul liSupporting project and portfolio managers in managing project and portfolio-level risk and issue registers. /li liEnsuring timely escalation of critical risks and impediments. /li liSupporting change control processes and governance decisions. /li liTracking mitigation actions and follow-up their implementation. /li /ul h3Project Lifecycle Management /h3 ul liSupporting projects throughout all lifecycle phases, from initiation to transition into operations and closure. /li liEnsuring project documentation is complete, consistent, and follows ESA standards. /li liCoordinating project gate reviews. /li liMonitoring deliverables and project baselines, ensuring proper change management and traceability. /li /ul h3Tooling Methodology Support /h3 ul liSupporting the adoption and administration of the PPM tool and other ESAIT project management tools. /li liPromoting best practices, standards, templates, and methodologies. /li liProviding guidance to project managers and teams regarding governance and reporting requirements. /li /ul h3Stakeholder Coordination /h3 ul liCoordinating interactions among ESAIT divisions, business owners, project managers, service managers, procurement teams, and contractors. /li liFacilitating communication, status reviews, and management decision-making processes. /li liSupporting alignment of projects with ESA Digital Transformation and departmental objectives. /li /ul h3Skills and experience /h3 pThe following skills and experience are mandatory: /p ul liMaster's degree or equivalent in a relevant field. /li liAt least 3 years of experience in a relevant field. /li liDemonstrated experience in project and portfolio management. /li liProven knowledge of PMO governance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices. /li liExperience in risk and issue management.



/li liAbility to define and monitor KPIs and produce performance reports for management. /li liExperience in resource and capacity planning. /li liKnowledge of change management principles. /li liExperience with PPM tools such as Planisware, Sciforma, ServiceNow or equivalent. /li liStrong reporting and dashboarding skills. /li liFluent in English, both written and spoken. /li /ul pThe following skills and experience would be highly desirable: /p ul liExperience with platforms like Power BI. /li liPMI-PMP and/or PMI-PMOCP Certifications. /li /ul h3Why should you apply? /h3 ul liYou will have the opportunity to work within leading space organisations across Europe. /li liWe encourage everyone to think outside the box and to push the boundaries of traditional knowledge.
