Maintenance Mechanical Technician
Casalpusterlengo (Shift-Based Role)

This role is an important part of keeping the plant running safely, efficiently, and reliably. If you enjoy getting to the root cause of problems, working hands-on with machinery, and finding better ways of doing things, you'll feel at home here.
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be part of the maintenance team, supporting the day-to-day operation of the plant. Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and help improve reliability across the site.
You'll work closely with colleagues on shift, ensuring machinery is maintained, repaired, and ready to perform when it's needed most.
Carry out routine, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment
Dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery and components
Organise maintenance activities efficiently, including selecting and checking spare parts
Complete maintenance records accurately using Maximo CMMS, including hours worked, parts used, and technical notes
Support larger maintenance activities where multiple technicians are required
Maintain tools, workshop equipment, and maintenance areas in good order
Follow all site safety procedures, regulations, and safe working practices
Proven experience in a mechanical maintenance role within an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong hands-on mechanical skills with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults
Experience using maintenance tools and workshop machinery safely and effectively
Good problem-solving skills and a practical,
methodical approach to maintenance
Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and diagrams
Basic welding capability
Experience working with CMMS platforms such as Maximo would be beneficial
Mechanical qualification or degree is highly valued
Comfortable working shifts and participating in an on-call rota once fully trained
