Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world. /p pWe are seeking an experiencedbConstruction Manager /bthat will supportsupport Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC). You will manage and monitor multidisciplinary construction projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective completion and compliance with technical, quality, scheduling, and safety requirements. /p pThis position is contingent upon contract award of the contract. If awarded, the anticipated period of performance will be approximately five years with six months potential extension. /p pbKey Responsibilities: /b /p ul liApply knowledge of construction concepts, principles, and practices applicable to multi-disciplined engineering projects, including the design, layout, and supervision of construction operations. /li liReview technical engineering specifications and statements of work covering complex and diverse engineering designs or changes to contract documents. /li liApply construction management skills in schedule management, budget or cost management, cost-loaded schedules, and earned value reporting. /li liMonitor construction projects to support successful and timely completion with respect to schedule and budget. /li liApply the three-phases of control and Construction Quality Management process.
/li liUse Primavera scheduling software and/or other construction scheduling software packages, including logic networking, critical path scheduling, and cost loading. /li liReport on the progress and outcome of technical assignments and present recommendations to Government personnel in fluent English. /li liApply safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures, laws, and regulations as they relate to engineering performance requirements and as outlined in EM 385-1-1, 29 CFR, and host nation safety requirements. /li liPerform assigned duties in extreme heat or cold, confined spaces, climbing, and while using fall protection equipment, as required by the PWS. /li /ul pbQualifications to be successful in the role: /b /p ul liBachelor of Science (BS) degree in engineering, construction management, construction science, or building construction from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or Host Nation. Bachelor of Arts degrees do not qualify. /li liThe specific degree requirement is exempt for Licensed/Certified Engineers-in-Training (EITs) or candidates who have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in the U.S., Registered Architects in the U.S., and Registered/licensed Professional Foreign Engineers or Architects. /li liRegistration or certification as a Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Facility Manager (CFM) is desirable but not required. /li liCurrent certification of successful completion within the past five (5)
years of the USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors course, or completion within 90 days of task order award. /li liKnowledge of the three phases of control and Construction Quality Management process. /li liAbility to read, write, and speak fluent English at CEFR C1 level preferred, minimum B2. /li liMust be physically capable of performing the tasks outlined in the PWS, including strenuous activity, outdoor work in extreme heat or cold, working in confined spaces, climbing, and using fall protection equipment. /li liRecord of completion of the full 40-hour EM 385-1-1 Construction Safety Course (NAVFAC or USACE) or completion within 90 days of task order award.
