With a strong pipeline of secured work in Italy, they are now seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join a flagship Data Centre project in Milan.This is a long term opportunity on a major hyperscale development with a multi year delivery programme.Role OverviewThe Lead Mechanical Engineer will take ownership of the mechanical delivery across a large scale Data Centre project.
Reporting to the Project Director, you will provide technical leadership, drive programme performance and ensure all mechanical systems are delivered safely, on time and in line with client quality expectations.This role requires proven Data Centre experience and a strong background in mechanical building services delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesLead mechanical engineering delivery on a large scale Data Centre projectManage mechanical engineering teams, subcontractors and specialist vendorsOversee HVAC, chilled water, LTHW,



pipework and associated mechanical packagesEnsure compliance with project specifications, drawings and industry standardsDrive programme milestones in line with the overall construction scheduleCoordinate closely with Electrical, CSA and Commissioning teamsSupport procurement strategy and technical submittal reviewsMonitor quality control and ensure high standards of installationSupport commissioning, testing and handover processesReport progress, risks and commercial impacts to senior managementRequirementsDegree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building ServicesProven experience delivering mechanical packages on Data Centre projectsStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems and mechanical plantExperience working with main contractors or large M&E; contractorsAbility to manage multidisciplinary teams in a fast paced environmentStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsPackageBase salary €80,000 – €95,000 depending on experienceFlights providedFully expensed single occupancy accommodationUtility bills covered by the clientOpportunity to avail of the Italian expat tax regime, subject to eligibilityLong term project with strong pipeline of future work in the region#J-*****-Ljbffr
