Overview

As a Regional Account Manager for the public sector, you will manage key accounts across public administration, guiding cybersecurity transformation and promoting a security-first culture aligned with Fortinet’s values. You will build executive relationships, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive adoption of Fortinet solutions to meet sales targets. This role combines strategic account leadership with regulatory awareness across Italy and Europe, offering meaningful impact in public sector cybersecurity.

Responsabilità

- Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet/exceed sales targets
- Drive adoption of Fortinet products and services across public sector accounts, supporting long-term customer success
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and strategic partners in public administration
- Coordinate internal teams to deliver proposals, RFI/RFP responses, and statements of work
- Promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices aligned with Italian and European regulations




- Serve as lead contact for information flow to/from executive management
- Maximize Fortinet opportunities while delivering value-added solutions to public sector customers
- Maintain accurate pipeline and sales forecast
- Collaborate with partner channel managers, technical sales engineers, and consulting professionals
- Travel within the assigned territory as required to support opportunities

Requisiti fondamentali

- Proven experience in technology sales, ideally in cybersecurity or networking
- Success selling solutions to public administration (education, healthcare, local government)
- Strong knowledge of IT security technologies (firewalls, VPNs, antivirus, IDS/IPS)
- Track record of quota achievement and career stability
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Goal-oriented mindset with strong business acumen and leadership capabilities
