Overview

In this role you will support Lightsource bp’s Commercial Engineering Team across global project development, from early stages to construction. You will lead technical due diligence for acquisitions and financing, and perform energy yield and LCOE analyses to optimize new projects. You’ll contribute to design work, EPC documentation, and technical advising during construction, working with cross‑functional teams in Italy and the broader EMEA region. This is an opportunity to shape the technical foundation of large solar, storage, and wind projects in a fast‑growing company.

Responsabilità

- Lead Technical Due Diligence for acquisitions and financing
- Manage internal and external service providers for technical reviews
- Conduct Energy Yield Assessments (EYA)
- Perform LCOE optimization and project economics analyses
- Support assessment of new technologies (modules, inverters, structures, WTGs, BESS)
- Lead Basic Design development including layouts and SLDs




- Develop EPC Contract Technical Appendices
- Assist Project Managers with technical aspects during construction, PAC and FAC
- Coordinate Technical Advisors (OE, LTA) locally and internationally

Requisiti fondamentali

- 7+ years in Renewable Energy (Solar PV and Wind)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Experience with Energy Yield Assessments and PV/BESS/Wind performance factors
- Experience with large-scale Solar PV, BESS, and Windfarm projects
- Knowledge of PV, BESS, Wind components and systems
- Familiarity with EPC/O&M; contracts and Technical Appendices
- Understanding of PPAs, Grid Connection Agreements, and inputs to Financial Models
- Fluency in Italian and English; driving license
