Overview

As Global CAPEX Senior Buyer, you partner with engineering, operations and finance to source and contract strategic CAPEX investments. You translate technical needs into sourcing strategies, manage end-to-end tender processes and select suppliers that offer value, performance and risk control. You support investment decisions with market intelligence, supplier assessments and commercial analysis, enabling robust business cases and project execution. You will work cross-functionally to drive competitive conditions and governance across major CAPEX initiatives. This role offers impact by shaping supplier ecosystems for Prysmian’s capital projects at scale.

Responsabilità

- Act as procurement focal point for CAPEX projects during planning and sourcing phases
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Project Teams and Finance to align objectives and requirements
- Define sourcing strategies and facilitate alignment between technical needs and commercial goals
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, supplier presentations) and manage tender communications
- Ensure supplier evaluations meet defined technical, operational and commercial criteria
- Coordinate supplier audits,



site assessments and capability reviews when required
- Drive negotiations for major investment projects and develop commercial evaluation models
- Provide post-award commercial support including change orders, disputes and warranties
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, maintain documentation, and prepare governance-ready summaries
- Promote best practices, standardization and continuous improvement in CAPEX sourcing processes
- Identify qualified suppliers to support investment decisions and optimize project economics

Requisiti fondamentali

- Minimum 7 years of procurement experience in CAPEX or project purchasing
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineering or infrastructure projects
- Commercial negotiation and supplier management experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to translate technical requirements into sourcing strategies
- Experience with cross-functional and international teams
- Knowledge of contracting principles and project execution processes
- Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement tools
- Fluent English
- 30-40% travel availability
