Overview As a Supervisor for Grade Levels K–2, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the academic success, developmental growth, and overall well-being of students and instructional staff within your designated grade levels. This position requires a student-centered leader with a strong understanding of early childhood and elementary development, curriculum implementation, instructional best practices, and effective team leadership in a virtual learning environment.
Essential Duties
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and curriculum specialists to develop, refine, and implement K–2 curriculum aligned to state standards and organizational academic goals.
- Ensure instructional materials, strategies, and resources are developmentally appropriate and support diverse learner needs across elementary grade levels.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing support to teachers to promote instructional excellence and continuous professional growth.
- Lead regular grade-level team meetings focused on instructional planning, student progress monitoring, and intervention strategies.
- Model effective instructional practices, including differentiation, assessment for learning, and integration of educational technology in the virtual classroom.
- Use student performance data to monitor progress, identify learning gaps, and support targeted intervention planning for students. Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement formative and summative assessments aligned to learning objectives.
- Analyze grade-level and school-wide data to inform instructional decisions, curriculum improvements, and professional development needs.
- Maintain consistent communication with families regarding student progress, academic expectations, and school initiatives. Support family engagement efforts by participating in or facilitating grade-level parent meetings, workshops, and informational sessions.
- Serve as a liaison between instructional staff and school leadership to support effective communication and alignment of expectations.
- Coordinate grade-level activities, events, and learning experiences that enhance student engagement and support academic goals.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with school policies, procedures, and academic standards across the grade band.
- Support student behavior expectations and classroom management practices aligned with school-wide systems.
- Participate in teacher recruitment, onboarding support, and instructional staff development as needed.
- Conduct instructional observations and provide actionable feedback to support teacher effectiveness.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging virtual learning environment that supports academic and social-emotional development.
- Support compliance with state, district, and organizational policies and reporting requirements.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- You will play a key role in our collective success by proactively pivoting to support emerging business needs and strategic priorities directed by your manager.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a relevant role or industry, preferably in a remote environment.
- Strong understanding of early childhood and elementary development, curriculum design, and instructional best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills with the ability to support teacher growth.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to use academic data to inform instruction and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging students, families, and staff in a virtual environment.
- Proficiency with virtual learning platforms, learning management systems, and educational technology tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accountability.
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment.
- Ability to adapt to evolving educational needs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven experience working independently with minimal supervision, including the ability to manage a digital task list and maintain a stable remote (home-office) infrastructure.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience using the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Workspace) in a professional setting.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas via written channels with high clarity and low ambiguity.
- Access to a private, reliable, and secure high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.
Education & Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification required.
