As Lead IT Architect, you partner with clients to define IT strategies and architecture, gaining buy-in for recommendations and guiding cross-functional teams. You own end-to-end, complex modules and begin taking on team leadership and intellectual leadership. You’ll shape architectural decisions, roadmaps, and business cases while collaborating with the BCG technical community to turn client potential into performance. This role blends deep tech expertise with strategic influence in a fast-paced, global setting.

Responsabilità
- Advise internal colleagues on core technical concepts and frameworks
- Advise fellow architects on areas of depth
- Develop and leverage the BCG technical community for client impact
- Analyze complex IT landscapes and current architectures
- Identify non-trivial technology decisions for clients
- Narrate architectural building blocks and their significance
- Roadmap development and business case generation
- Review vendor proposals and ongoing technical work
- Manage IT project delivery and quality assurance
- Optimize application development processes
Requisiti fondamentali
- 10 to 15 years' experience in software development, technical project management, digital delivery, or technology consulting
- Ability to bring unique tech perspectives from outside consulting into engagements
- Strategic mindset with hypothesis-driven, iterative approach
- Self-managed with leadership potential to influence designers, engineers, and PMs
- Progressing thought leadership in deep tech
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and Continuous Improvement
- Strong understanding of IaaS/PaaS, container orchestration, service mesh, API gateways, and decision-making between commercial vs open-source software
- Experience with legacy integration and remediation (facades, strangler pattern)
- Deep understanding of integration patterns (events, synchronous vs asynchronous)
- University degree with strong academic performance in STEM, IT, or business administration
- Fluent in English and Italian
