Overview

In this role you will be part of Siemens’ Smart Infrastructure Electrification and Automation team in Milan, focusing on developing, testing, and commissioning energy automation systems for medium- and high-voltage substations and power plants. You’ll configure protection relays, perform FAT/SAT activities, and analyze fault data to deliver reliable energy automation solutions. You will collaborate with engineering teams to drive innovative protection concepts. This position offers hands-on involvement in high-stakes substations and opportunities to shape scalable protection strategies.

Responsabilità

- Configure protection relays, including SIPROTEC devices, per functional and logic diagrams
- Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) of electrical automation systems




- Support and execute Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) during commissioning
- Analyze fault recordings and disturbance waveforms
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop innovative energy automation solutions

Requisiti fondamentali

- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years in protection engineering or substation automation
- Willingness to travel for site activities and commissioning
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Continuous learning mindset and willingness to grow
- Proficiency in Italian and English
