Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Innovation Experts Team, you will lead mechanical design efforts for HVAC components and related systems. You will work across development, pre-design, and prototyping to validate new technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers. You will create 3D models, drawings, and BOMs, guiding projects from concept to production while mentoring junior engineers. Responsabilità

- 3D modeling with Solid Edge and/or CREO CAD and produce detailed drawings
- Develop mechanical components and HVAC units, including refrigeration circuit design and sheet metal development
- Manage project lifecycle from development to production, coordinating with cross-functional teams
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and part coding in PLM/AS400 systems
- Collaborate with Innovation Challenge Leaders, Project Team, and suppliers on technical issues and feasibility




- Support prototype construction and provide technical instructions during prototyping
- Interface with Industrialization, Manufacturing, and Quality functions to implement modifications
- Prepare Manufacturing Specification Documents (CIS) and ensure correct registrations
- Support manufacturing activities during prototyping and assess component non-conformities with Purchasing
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to less standardized, innovative activities
- Ensure compliance with PED and company quality standards; promote 5S methodology

Requisiti fondamentali

- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design of industrial machinery, preferably HVAC
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems in air conditioning applications and ability to create compliant schematics
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience with 3D CAD software (Solid Edge preferred)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Experience in Innovation or prototyping is a plus
- English proficiency at B1 level or higher
- Knowledge of Microsoft Collaboration Tools (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Office365)
