Overview

In this role you will deliver high-quality secondary research and data services to Bain’s consulting teams, supporting project planning, information management, and knowledge sharing. You will establish expertise in affiliation areas and work across cross-functional teams to produce accurate research outputs. You’ll contribute to product evaluations and asset development, while coaching and training others. This is a hands-on, impact-focused position within a global Research and Data Services team.

Responsabilità

- Conduct business research using desktop tools to support short- to medium-term projects
- Support Industry Team with complex, specialized research and general research across Bain domains
- Understand project context and information needs through proactive stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrate mastery of local, regional, and global data sources and apply them effectively
- Deliver well-organized research outputs and actionable insights
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders, gather feedback, and resolve issues
- Process orders and new acquisitions, manage cataloging and end-user system updates
- Participate in knowledge sharing, training, and projects to grow skills




- Lead small initiatives and coach less experienced colleagues when needed
- Contribute to product and service evaluations and process/tool innovations
- Conduct just-in-time and regular group training for researchers and staff
- Support marketing efforts for Research and Data Services
- Develop subject matter expertise by engaging in training and experience sharing

Requisiti fondamentali

- 3–5 years of business research experience in fast-paced settings
- Experience using business research databases (e.g., Factiva, LSEG/Refinitiv, S&P; CapitalIQ)
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders and cross-cultural teams
- Proactive initiative-taking to improve efficiency
- Degree in Information Science or Business or equivalent
- Fluent written and spoken English and native language communication skills

- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent organization and time management
- Resilience under pressure
- Proficiency with business research databases (Factiva, LSEG/Refinitiv, S&P; CapitalIQ)
- Broad knowledge of commercial, multi-industry, and economic topics
- Information management and research methodology
