Position
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Sales Channel Planner to join our Sales Operations team, located in Asolo, Italy. In this role, you will provide insightful and valuable support to the Sales teams by transforming commercial data into clear and actionable insights that enable informed and timely decision-making.
You will be responsible for analysing and optimising sales channel performance across geographical areas, countries, distributors, dealer networks, major accounts and key wholesale partners. Working closely with the our Sales teams both in HQ and in the relevant countries, you will provide strategic insights into channel effectiveness, order patterns, sell-in performance and revenue generation, supporting both short-term commercial objectives and long-term business growth.
Main Responsibilities
- You will monitor and analyse Gross Sales, Net Sales and sales dilution, including discounts, returns and markdown impacts, whilst also analysing commercial performance by geographical area, country, sales channel, activity, account, dealer and door.
- You will provide regular reporting and actionable insights on channel performance, dealer productivity, account development and distribution effectiveness to support data-driven sales decisions.
- You will support the planning, execution and tracking of Sell-In campaigns,
ensuring alignment between sales strategies, channel priorities and market opportunities.
- You will define, monitor and track sales campaign performance against agreed targets.
- You will evaluate the performance of distributors, dealers and major accounts, identifying opportunities to strengthen channel productivity, improve market penetration and maximise revenue growth.
- You will analyse channel mix, account segmentation and geographical performance trends to help optimise distribution strategies and commercial investments.
- You will analyse sales performance by order typology, including Pre-Booking, At-Once, reorders, Special Purchase Units and clearance activities.
- You will support the Sales Team in planning At-Once orders, reorders and clearance initiatives to achieve monthly revenue targets.
- You will monitor order intake and invoiced sales performance on a seasonal, quarterly and monthly basis.
- You will contribute to seasonal planning, yearly sales budgets and long-term strategic business plans.
- You will participate in sales performance reviews, sales strategy development, resource planning and budgeting activities.
- Moreover, you will identify commercial and channel optimisation opportunities, highlighting performance gaps and recommending corrective actions to improve business results.
- You will act as a link between Corporate Strategic Planning and the daily operational requirements of the Sales Team.
- You will support the preparation and monitoring of sales forecasts, budgets and commercial dashboards.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10+ years' experience in Sales Planning, Commercial Analysis, Channel Management, Business Planning and/or a similar role within a wholesale, distribution or multi-channel commercial environment.
- Outstanding Analytical skills as well as previous experience analysing performance across multiple dimensions, such as geographical areas, channels, accounts, dealers and product activities.
- Strong understanding of commercial and financial sales indicators, including Gross Sales, Net Sales, sales dilution, order intake and invoiced sales.
- Strong understanding of wholesale distribution models and the commercial drivers of dealer networks, distributors, major accounts and multi-channel sales organisations.
- Knowledge of order planning and management, particularly Pre-Booking and At-Once order models.
- Experience supporting sales organisations with channel strategy, distribution planning, dealer development or commercial performance optimisation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions and financial or commercial modelling.
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualisation tools, such as Power BI or Tableau, would be an advantage.
- Ability to structure, analyse and interpret complex datasets and translate findings into clear commercial recommendations.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with also proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven and commercially focused approach.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and influence business decisions through data.
- Professional fluency in English – Please note that the working environment is fully English speaking.
