Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer in our Building Engineering team, you will lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services for diverse facilities. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable HVAC, plumbing and fire protection solutions from concept through construction. You’ll mentor junior engineers, guide technical discussions with clients, and help drive proposal activity and project execution. This role blends technical leadership with hands-on design and coordination to support mission-critical projects at scale. You’ll contribute to shaping safer, more efficient buildings while advancing our commitment to delivering a better world.

Responsabilità

- Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) from concept through construction and completion
- Prepare and review calculations, specifications, reports, drawings and design documentation
- Coordinate mechanical activities with other disciplines to ensure seamless project integration
- Manage project deliverables, budgets and schedules while upholding high technical standards
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and support their professional development
- Attend client meetings and present engineering solutions and recommendations




- Support business development activities, including bids, tenders and proposals
- Ensure compliance with codes, regulations and sustainability standards; contribute to innovation in design processes

Requisiti fondamentali

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical building services engineering (ideally in consultancy)
- Strong technical expertise in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems design
- Proven track record delivering complex multidisciplinary projects
- Experience with Data Centres, Critical Facilities, Healthcare or similar complex projects valued
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and BIM workflows
- Strong understanding of Italian and international codes and regulations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience coordinating teams and mentoring junior engineers
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Professional registration/Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is advantageous
