Overview

In this role you will lead R&D on cosmetic automatic pencils, transforming client needs into safe, effective formulations. You will work within a cross-functional team to adapt existing formulas, test new blends, and ensure compatibility with production equipment and shelf life. You will interface with Marketing and clients to align product identity and specifications. This position offers scope to influence product development from concept to scale-up and industrialization, within a world-class cosmetic context.

Responsabilità

- Research raw materials for cosmetics (botanicals, preservatives, fragrances, emulsifiers, surfactants, emollients)
- Develop new products using existing formulas as templates
- Test new formulas for safety and efficacy
- Create safe, effective formulas leveraging chemistry and biology
- Meet with clients to discuss needs and brand identity
- Combine ingredients to achieve desired color and effects
- Test product compatibility with production machinery and shelf-life stability
- Manage feasibility and evaluate new projects
- Prepare prototypes and monitor stability
- Coordinate deliveries with commercial and marketing teams




- Draft bills of materials (BOMs)
- Scale up and industrialize products with production department

Requisiti fondamentali

- At least 3 years of experience in formulation of mechanical/automatic pencils
- Degree in Chemistry / Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies / Pharmacy / Biology is a plus, but not mandatory
- Fluent/Excellent knowledge of English
- Good knowledge of / Ability to quickly learn materials and procedures
- Strong organizational and self-management skills
- High attention to detail and precision
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Strong communication skills with internal and external clients
- Ability to understand and interpret client requirements
- Drafting reporting documentation to support created formulas (stability, compatibility, technical data sheets)
